Cyclone Phyan caused heavy rain and havoc in western coast of India. It is expected to intensify and make landfall along the north Maharashtra-south Gujarat coast late Wednesday night. There were reports of boats missing at sea and several hundred fishermen still out in the sea.

It is a rather unusual to see a cyclone along the west coast of India.
